Bitcoin drops below $77,000 as the chip rout deepens ahead of the U.S. midterm vote

Bitcoin slipped to just under $77,000 on Tuesday, about 2% lower, as a three-day slide in chipmakers pushed the Nasdaq 100 into a correction. U.S. midterm results start arriving overnight.
